The Indian meal moth is a pretty moth with a wing expanse of approximately three-quarters of an inch. The eggs of the Indian meal moth are ovate, whitish, and tiny.

Merchant Grain Beetles

Merchant grain beetles are not usually found in grain products, but on cake mixes, cereals, cookies, macaroni, and chocolate. These type of beetles are scavengers and they can’t feed on whole grains unless other types of insects have got the kernels out.

These grain beetles can also fly to new sources, instead of a usual transport. These beetles are found in food processing areas or warehouses and residential kitchens.
